Where to buy M2 MacBook Air
You can buy a MacBook Air directly from Apple in the US or from Apple UK, but stocks can be low and Apple rarely drops prices – see where the MacBook Air is in stock. However, you may find the MacBook Air available at a discount at one of these sellers. There are plenty of stores and Apple Premium resellers around the world that offer discounts on Macs new and old, so it’s worth shopping around (read our article on Where to Buy a Mac for more advice).
One of the advantages of buying from Apple is that you can trade in your old Mac and get your money back. We have an article explaining how to get paid in the Apple Trade-in Program.
We recommend the following suppliers in the US and UK:

UK retailers
Apple Authorized Resellers in the United Kingdom
The best refurbished MacBook Air deals
The deals you’ll see above are generally from Apple resellers rather than Apple itself — Apple rarely drops the prices of the Macs it sells. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t save money on buying from Apple: If you want to get a discount on a Mac from Apple, you can buy a refurbished Mac. Not only is Apple selling refurbished Macs, but Apple offers some great incentives to buy from Apple’s Refurbished Store, so we recommend taking a look there for great MacBook Air deals. In the UK see this page and the US refurbished shop page here.
Macs in a refurbished Apple Store may be pre-sale stock, or they may have been returned to Apple due to a mistake, but they are now fully refurbished and come with a full year warranty. It’s not like buying used. Read about buying a refurbished Mac.
We see M1 MacBook Air models in the refurbished Apple Store from time to time. If none are available when you search, we recommend checking back in a month or so, if you can wait that long.

in the UK:
Amazon also has an authorized refurbished store for Apple products, but we advise against purchasing any products older than five years – most of the products we see in the Amazon refurbished store are very old. Another place to look is BackMarket US and BackMarket UK, which sell refurbished Macs and other Apple products.

Students should check out the Apple Education Store, where they can get a discount (as long as they qualify for a discount). Read more: How to get an Apple student discount. There’s also Apple holding a “Back To Uni” event that runs in the US from June to September (and in the UK from July to October) which means you’ll get free AirPods with your purchase!
