Note that Apple just raised the prices of iMacs in the UK, so these savings are better than ever (on paper at least).
- Amazon 24-inch M1 iMac 7-core GPU: £1,137 (£112 from original price of £1,249, now £1,399, so a savings of £262).
- Amazon 24-inch M1 iMac, octa-core graphics processor, 512GB SSD: £1,479.97. That’s £170 off the original price of £1,649, but Apple has set prices up to £1,799 for this model, so the savings are even bigger!

What you need to know
In April 2021, Apple announced the 24-inch iMac which comes in a choice of seven different colors and is powered by Apple’s M1 chip. Read our review of the 2021 24in iMac. Rather than refresh the 27in iMac, Apple is holding it back in March 2022. This may not be the last we see of the larger iMac though: Read the 27in iMac, But It Doesn’t Have to Be Dead and the Rumors About the New iMac Pro.
At launch, iMac models cost as much, but as you’ll see in the UK prices are much higher now.

Where to buy an iMac
You can buy an iMac directly from Apple in the US or from Apple UK, but there are plenty of stores and Apple Premium resellers around the world that offer discounts on new and old Macs. Some Mac resellers offer deep discounts on Apple products and Apple accessories, so you should be able to save a few hundred pounds off some iMac configurations.
Beware, though. The Mac listed by your reseller might be an older model than the one Apple currently sells. We’ve seen sellers advertise Macs discounting their money based on the price Apple previously sold them at, even after Apple started selling a newer Mac for the same price — so the deal often looks better than it actually is. So be sure to check the age and specifications of the device you’re selling, and don’t automatically assume it’s current.

The best refurbished iMac deals
One of the best places to look for iMac deals throughout the year is the refurbished Apple Store. There you will find huge discounts on iMacs, sometimes even on the latest models. These iMacs have been returned to Apple for various reasons, and then completely refurbished, ready for resale. One of the main benefits of buying a refurbished Mac from Apple is that it will come with a one-year warranty, so Apple may repair or replace it for free if anything happens to it in that first year.
You won’t be able to tell the difference between a refurbished iMac and a brand-new iMac, no matter what box it comes in, which is whitewashed to prevent people from buying it and trying to sell it as new. Find out more about buying a refurbished iMac here.

Amazon also has an authorized refurbished store for Apple products, but we advise against purchasing any products older than five years – most of the products we see in the Amazon refurbished store are unfortunately very old.
