Achievement badges are a funny thing. You Known They’re just a bit of a visual flair, they don’t even Do Anything, but only for some reason Owns to collect it. Achievements are great motivators, and activity-tracking achievement badges on the Apple Watch have inspired many users to get more exercise.
If you want to maximize your badge count, you will need to chase as many Activity Achievements as possible. Most of them are available year-round, but there are also some special limited-time events up for grabs, too. Here’s a list of all the Activity achievements for your Apple Watch and how to unlock them.
Updated 02/28/23: March 8 is International Women’s Day. Complete any workout of 20 minutes or more to earn your badge and animated iMessage stickers.
Record achievements
Most achievements can be achieved throughout the year. If you open a file activity app on your iPhone, then head over to achievements tab, you’ll see some of them listed even before you earn them (in which case they’ll be represented by a gray outline).
However, there are some achievements that don’t appear until you earn them. Past and future monthly challenges, for example, won’t show up, nor will all the different individual workouts.
Below is a list of all the standard badges you can get.
Firstly [exercise] work out
The first time you perform a new exercise for at least 5 minutes, you will earn an achievement badge. Every type of exercise that doesn’t fall into the Other category qualifies for this badge: from walking to yoga to HIIT to hiking and more.
Activities with intrinsic and extrinsic variables, such as cycling and walking, are grouped together; You can do any activity to get the badge, and you can only get it once.
[exercise] workout record
Every time you break the previous best record for calories burned in any of the above exercises, you earn this badge.
There is one caveat: You must complete five such exercises first. If you want to tinker with the system, make sure the first four workouts of each type are short and easy, so it won’t take a lot of effort to beat them.

You get a badge the first time you do each type of key exercise, and when you break a record.
7-week workout
You only need to complete any exercise for at least 15 minutes every day of the week. Note that the week is Monday through Sunday, and you have to do a workout on each of those days (you simply can’t do any seven days in a row). If you start a walking exercise whenever you take a walk outside, you can achieve this easily.
New transfer record
On any day that your Move episode goes further than ever before (meaning you burn more calories in a day), you’ll win this prize. There’s one catch: You have to use your Apple Watch for 10 days before you can complete this.
New exercise log
This is just like the move log achievement, only for the green ring. This is based on minutes of exercise, not calories burned, so it’s really easy to get by. Just like getting a Move Record done, you have to use your Apple Watch for 10 days first.
Transfer target 200%, 300%, 400%
You earn this when you exceed your target calories (the red movement ring) by 2x, 3x, or 4x, respectively. In other words, it is given to make the red activity ring rotate two, three or four times a day. It’s easy to get to if you just set the movement goal too low.

Move loop target double, triple and quadruple. Lower your aim if you’re having trouble.
New movement target
Every time you change the daily movement goal, and then exceed this new goal, you get this achievement. You can change your Move target by opening the Activity app on your Apple Watch and firmly tapping the screen.
longest line of movement
When you have achieved the movement goal (close the red ring) for several days in a row, this is a “streak”. You get this award when your streak finally ends, if it was longer than your previous streak.
Perfect week
This is offered for four categories: Movement, Exercise, Standing, and All Activity. In the first three, close the rings (red, green or blue) each day of the week. To get the Perfect Week (All Activities) badge, close All three episodes Every day for a whole week. You can earn this multiple times, though it only shows one badge.
Remember, one week in the Activity app is from Monday to Sunday!

Close those rings every day from Monday to Sunday to earn a handful of badges.
perfect month
Unlike Perfect Week, there aren’t many Perfect Month badges for different color rings. The only perfect month achievement is to close the red movement ring every day of the month.
There is a separate perfect month badge for each month and each year. So you can earn this in February and again in March, and again in February next year.
monthly challenge
Each month has its own unique fitness challenge. If you have notifications set for the Activity app on your Apple Watch, you’ll see the goal up front at the beginning of the month, but you’ll also see the current month’s challenge in the Achievements tab in the Activity app on your iPhone. It will be a gray outline before it’s completed, but you can click on it to see what the challenge involves.
A monthly challenge may task you with burning a certain number of calories, exercising a certain number of times, or traveling a certain distance. There’s no such thing as telling each new month, you just have to look!

There is a different challenge each month, so check your activity app.
100, 365, 500, 1000 motion targets
When you reach the daily action target (close the red ring) 100 times, you get an achievement badge. You get another for multiplying it 365 times, 500 times, and 1000 times. These do not need to be consecutive; It’s the total number of times you hit the target.

Close the move ring frequently to unlock a chain of badges. Set your transfer goal low if you want to make this easier.
Limited achievements
Apple offers multiple one-time challenges per year that are only available for a limited time. Often, they are only there for one day or one weekend. Some of them are US specific because they are based on US holidays.
You’ll get a notification on your Apple Watch when one comes on (make sure you have notifications enabled for the Activity app, using the Watch app on your iPhone).

International Women’s Day (8 March)
