New appointments
Three new executives join McMullin, Hardy and global climate officer Margaret Peloso on the Chubb Climate+ leadership team.
Maria Jericho Appointed North American Climate Technology Industry Practice Leader. In her new role, Guerico is responsible for growing Chubb’s underwriting portfolio and creating products and services to support climate technology companies focused on the efficient and sustainable use of resources, products and technologies aimed at mitigating the impact of climate change.
Prior to her current position, Guerico held management positions at Chubb’s Montreal Branch, North American Insurance Center, and as Director of Commercial Insurance. She started her professional career in the year 2003.
Melanie Markwick Day He was appointed Chief Natural Resources Officer at Chubb Overseas General. In this role, she brings her energy and underwriting experience to companies as they transition to low carbon solutions.
Prior to assuming her new role, Markwick Day served as President of Upstream Energy and Offshore Renewable Energy for CHEP Global Markets. In this role, she led the launch of Chubb’s outdoor renewable energy product offering. Markwick Day joined Chubb Overseas General in 2020 as a Senior Insurance Officer. She started her career in 2009 as a Claims Specialist at Lloyd’s of London.
Jared Concannon He was named Chief Climate Technology Officer at Chubb Overseas General. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring that climate technology companies are protected from the unique risks associated with their operations.
Prior to taking on his new role, Concannon served as President of Industry Practice Development, developing CHEP’s casualty and property industry practices for media, healthcare, advanced manufacturing and climate technology across the company’s international operations. Concannon joined CHEP in 2013 as a Professional Partner in the North American Financial Lines Division and has also worked in various underwriting roles.

All three appointments are effective immediately. Guerico reports to McMullin, while Markwick-Day and Concannon report to Hardy.
